On Sunday, October 7th of this year, The DeHanas Team had the good fortune of having Lefty's Bar-B-Que cater our Customer Appreciation Bar-B-Que. This is an annual event where The Team invites everyone whose ever purchased or sold a home with us. The Bar-B-Que has always provided good food, drinks, entertainment, door prizes and just an all around good time getting to know your neighbors. This year we decided to make a change and chose Lefty's to cater this event. That decision turned out to be one that our taste buds won't soon forget.

"Lefty," otherwise known as owner Walter Nash, and his friendly crew prepared two whole pigs and forty chickens for a crowd of over 350 hungry guests. The barbecue was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The side dishes consisted of tangy baked beans, creamy cole slaw, zippy pasta salad and potato salad just like Mom used to make. You can bet none of this came out of a carton. The staff was courteous and friendly and really seemed to enjoy their work. It was impressive to watch their precise sense of teamwork as they set up the food for the event. And they brought everything! From an array of barbecue sauces right down to the tablecloths.

If you don't have a catering event coming up, don't despair. Lefty's is also a restaurant. Located in the Pinefield Shopping Center, they serve their delicious menu for lunch and dinner daily. If barbecue is what you're craving, try the North Carolina Pork, Chunky Beef and Chicken Barbecue sandwiches. Baby back ribs and partial or whole chickens are also a big favorite. They also have Crab Cake and Fish sandwiches. All the side items previously mentioned are on the menu along with French fries, beer battered onion rings and potato skins. Lefty's also has a daily lunch special ranging in price from $2.49 to $3.99. It's served from 11:00 to 2:00 daily, Tuesday through Friday. Give them a call and they'll happily fax your business a menu.
