Southern Maryland Restaurant Review - Martini's Lounge
Whether you are looking for late night drinks and dancing, or elegant dining, Martini’s Lounge and Prime Rib Room has something for all tastes. Owners Bobby and Diana Rucci and Pete Hammelman have brought together a very classy “Cheers” style atmosphere with the menu of a fine dining establishment, and created a one-of-a-kind experience.
With its’ soaring ceilings, Martini’s Lounge is very tastefully decorated with classic martini décor, pictures of movie stars from past eras and shots of the locals with Martini’s in hand. A professional photographer takes photos of Patrons on a regular basis, so new additions to the décor are constant. The horseshoe shaped bar overlooks a small dance floor, and across the room is a stage and DJ. Adjacent to the bar, doors ways lead to the Prime Rib room offering open seating in a warm and friendly environment.
Chef Will’s appetizing menu changes on regular basis, and is very well rounded offering something for whatever you have a taste for. Nightly specials are well thought out and extremely delicious. My favorites on the menu include the crab dip appetizer, The Chicken Marsala and of course the slow roasted prime Rib. A 2 pound cut, known as the “Martini Cut” is just $34.95. Chef Wills Pasta dishes are some of the best I have ever had.
If you are just in search of late night activities, Martini’s brings in some of the top local bands for weekend entertainment, hosts Karaoke several nights a week, and has a DJ on staff to round out the festivities. And just in case you have had one too many Rat Pack (one of the specialty drinks for two), a limousine is at your service, for free. All you have to do is tip the driver. If you plan your evening right, you can call ahead for pick-up service too.
